Ingatestone Hall
Ingatestone, CM4 9NRIngatestone Hall is a sixteenth century manor house built by Sir William Petre, Secretary of State to four Tudor Monarchs.
On display are furniture, family portraits and other pictures accumulated over the centuries together with memorabilia of fifteen generations of the Petre family.

Location
At the London end of Ingatestone High Street, turn into Station Lane. Go over the level crossing and continue for 1/2 mile.
Buses from Chelmsford & Brentwood stop in the High Street by Station Lane, about 3/4 mile from the house.
The Railway Station in Station Lane, also about 3/4 mile from the house, is on the main line to Norwich out of Liverpool Street Station (35 minutes).
