Your forests are full of things to do. If you want to walk, cycle, enjoy a picnic, have refreshments or just relax and enjoy the great scenery, the visitor centre is the best place to start. Our friendly and helpful staff are on hand to give advice and information.
Location
From Newton Stewart:
Take A75 signposted Dumfries for 3 miles. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
From New Galloway:
Take A712 to Newton Stewart. Turn left at T-junction onto A75. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
Bus:
431 Newton Stewart to Kirkcudbright. Exit the bus at Palnure. A short walk to Kirroughtree Visitor Centre
