The Gardens comprise eight acres and include two large lakes which hold the National Collection of Hardy Water Lilies. The landscaped surroundings provide an excellent foil to the lakes and include a walled garden, presently in the process of being developed as a Victorian Garden, rock gardens, a Secret Garden, formal seasonal bedding areas, large areas of shrub and tree planting and heather beds, Primrose Wood Woodland Walk (to be opened in Spring 2001) and finely maintained grassed areas, sitting areas and picnic areas.
