A 50-minute return trip on Yorkshire's Great Little Steam Train through picturesque South Pennines on old Lancashire and Yorkshire Clayton West country branch line, now complete up to main Huddersfield/Sheffield line. Large visitor centre, light refreshments, souvenir shop, children's play area, free parking. Exciting programme of special event weekends includes: Easter Eggspresses, Day out with Thomas events, Teddy Bears' Picnic, Hallowe'en Ghost Trains and Santa Specials. Near Holmfirth, mill shops and other major visitor attractions.
Location
Clayton West, the terminus of the railway, is situated midway between Wakefield, Barnsley, Holmfirth and Huddersfield, on the A636 Wakefield to Denby Dale road.
