Dove Cottage & The Wordsworth Museum
Dove Cottage Grasmere, Ambleside, LA22 9SHDove Cottage was the home of William Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808, the years of his supreme work as a poet. It was built, probably in the early part of the 17th century, as a small hostelry.
Location
Located on the A591, the main Kendal - Keswick road through the central Lake District. Exit junction 36 of the M6. The nearest train station is Windermere (8 miles) and there are regular buses - service 555 or 599.
